2020 Lipinski Genia
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Our second family label blend was crafted with careful attention to each grape. Initially, the grapes were air-dried for an average of four weeks. Following this drying period, each variety was subjected to a twenty-day carbonic maceration process in stainless steel tanks. The grapes were then destemmed and transferred to French oak vats, where they completed their ambient fermentation within about a month. We conducted co-fermentation for some of the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot to integrate the flavours. The blending process was carried out in April 2022. The wine was aged for a total duration of 35 months in new 225-liter Moldovan oak barrels, allowing it to develop a deep and complex character. We bottled the wine unfiltered.

SOMMELIER'S NOTES
This wine presents an engaging aroma that combines ripe blackberries and blueberries with a hint of bramble and a subtle touch of herbs, complemented by a pleasant note of pipe tobacco and cocoa. On the palate, it is rich and well-concentrated, featuring a berry-forward profile complemented by smooth tannins. The warmth from the alcohol adds to the wine's full-bodied feel. Overall, it balances intensity with elegance, offering a satisfying tasting experience. (JL - Nov. 2023)
