The nose is developing and slightly lifted showing raspberry, red cherry, roasted beet and dry rose petal. The palate is dry, with mostly fruit tannins showing cherry, raspberry, cola, sassafras and sage

There is a smoked brisket component, black peppercorn and olive brine, but instead of being in the black and blue fruit camp we are more leaning towards red cherry and plum.

This is a powerful expression of Cabernet Sauvignon and I have to remind myself that it didn’t see oak. There is an intense nose of ripe cassis, cardamom, damson plum, and a hint of tar and leather.
